Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Bappa Agro (“we”, “us”) collects through the Bappa Agro mobile app for Android and iOS and the website www.bappaagroonline.com, why we collect it, who can see it, and how you can have it deleted.
1. Who we are
Bappa Agro, Metoda G.I.D.C., Rajkot, Gujarat, India. You can reach us by phone at 75750 49549 or 72278 37777.
2. Information we collect
a) When you just browse
You can browse the product catalogue, delivery videos and updates without signing in. We do not ask for your name or number to browse. Your language choice and whether you have seen the introduction screens are saved only on your phone.
b) When you send an inquiry
- Your name, mobile number, village or city, taluka and district
- Your message and the product you are asking about
- An optional voice recording. The app uses the microphone only while you press record.
- Your consent to be contacted
- A one-way hash of your internet (IP) address, used only to stop spam and repeated automated inquiries. We cannot recover your IP address from it.
c) When you create a Buy & Sell account
- Your mobile number, verified with a one-time code sent by SMS
- Your name, state, district, taluka and village
- Your email address and address, if you choose to add them
- The date and time you accepted our terms
d) When you use Buy & Sell
- Listings you create: category, title, description, condition, price, specifications and location (state, district, taluka, village)
- Photos you add to a listing. The app uses the camera or photo library only when you choose to add a photo.
- Comments you post and reports you file about listings or comments
e) Technical information
Like any online service, our servers record basic technical details such as IP address, time of request and app version, for security and troubleshooting. The app also checks its version number to tell you when an update is required.
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to count how the app is used (for example app opens, sessions, screens viewed, app version, device model, operating system and approximate country), and Firebase Crashlytics to send crash reports (the error, device model, operating system and app version). These use a random app-installation ID, not your name, phone number or advertising ID. We do not use advertising tools, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
3. How we use your information
- To answer your inquiry and contact you about the product or service you asked about
- To verify your mobile number and run your Buy & Sell account
- To review listings before they are published, and to handle comments and reports
- To keep the service secure and prevent spam, fraud and misuse
- To understand how the app is used and to find and fix crashes
- To follow the law and respond to lawful requests
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who can see your information

We use these service providers to run the app. They process data only on our instructions:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage
- MSG91: sending one-time SMS codes to your mobile number
- Vercel: hosting this website
- Google Firebase: app usage analytics and crash reports
- Google Play and Apple App Store: app distribution and updates, under their own privacy policies
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
- Buy & Sell account data is kept until you delete your account. When you delete it, your profile, listings, photos, comments and reports are deleted permanently.
- Inquiries are kept as long as needed to respond to you and keep our business records, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Server logs are kept for a limited time by our hosting providers for security.
- App analytics and crash reports are kept by Google Firebase for a limited time (up to 14 months for analytics and 90 days for crash reports), then deleted automatically.
6. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access controls, so only you and authorised staff can reach private information. No online system is completely risk-free, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
7. Your choices and rights
- See and correct your Buy & Sell profile at any time from Settings → My profile in the app.
- Delete your account in the app from Settings → Delete account. See how to delete your account for the steps and for how to delete inquiries.
- Withdraw consent or ask about your data by calling us. We may need to confirm it is really you, usually by calling you back on your registered number.
- Permissions for the microphone, camera and photos can be turned off at any time in your phone’s settings.
8. Children
The app is meant for farmers and businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, call us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and for important changes we will let you know in the app.
